TWO DIFFERENT DOCTORS' OFFICES

Boy, if this doesn't hit the nail on the head, I don't know what does!

Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement.

The FIRST patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.

The SECOND sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another 2 weeks. And finally has his surgery scheduled for 6 months from then.

Why the different treatment for the two patients?

The FIRST is a Golden Retriever.

The SECOND is a Canadian Citizen.

This week my brother in-law sat in an emergency room for four days! He stayed the first night in the hall and then he got a bed in one of the rooms in emergency. He has been battling cancer for a few years now and his pain was so great he could not stand. But they kept him wating and apparently, they kept forgetting to feed him as well and after waiting all that time for help, they sent him home with this wonderful diagnosis - "We don't know what it is."

I think I will start going to a Vet!

Amusing, for sure, Laura.
But frustrating, disappointing, and maddening, too, because it's true to life in some cases.
Your brother suffered quite an indignity there; added injury to his physical sickness and pain.
I'm also thinking of you with prayer, Laura, as you seek answers and solutions regarding your leg problem.

I'm deeply sorry for you and your extended family, having to go through all of this nonsense with the medical community. As a family member, watching my brother-in-law or husband or dad, go through these things..I'd be "very vocal" that my family member was not getting the proper care. I know that you are being stretched like "never before" God does have a purpose in all of this. You're just going through it and its extremely hard!

Thanks for putting the words up to "Find Us Faithful" this lately has become one of my standard pieces that I sing for loved ones at funerals who have known the Lord. Just so that you'll know, Steve Green didn't write the song, the words and music are by Jon Mohr, however Steve Green made the song popular. I've sung the piece twice in the last six month and it means a lot to me every time that I sing it for someone special in my life.

So glad that we had that time to chat on the phone, and your family is my prayers. Read Psalm 130, and though there are many factors that "unknown" in your life right now, read and meditate on this verse...chat with you soon, WIW
