I have yet another blog! This one is dedicated solely to the craft of writing and I hope will be an encouragement to those of you who are new to writing. I will have a writing prompt every week to keep your juices flowing, so please make sure to visit The Writer's Keep.

This month the featured author for the CFRB is Marcia Lee Laycock. Click the link above and follow the tour to discover her book One Smooth Stone.

Interviews & Reviews (my other site) has been nominated for the 2010 Canadian Weblog Awards in the category of Writing & Literature! I thought it required a vote, but I just found out it is a juried competition. Thanks to all those who tried to vote!

I know I promised an excerpt from my latest novel, but I didn't tell you how much of an excerpt. (I'm bad, I know!). Here's the first line of my latest Young Adult Fiction Finding Claire.

"The day they pulled old lady McGill's car out of the Thames River, everyone in the town of Parrish turned out to watch."

FYI - Parrish is a fictional town, based loosely on a real town in Southern Ontario. Can you guess which one?
